I am doing my usual summer activity. I am straightening up my office, purging my files of that "extra stuff". I happened to go to my ooollldd (very old) blog. I thought - why not? So here I am updating my blog.
As most everyone knows my life has sort of changed over the past year. It will soon be a year since I started work at Harris Elementary School. What a fun experience it has been. I highly recommend a position as an Instructional Assistant for a job.
Lee is trying to make me look like an "OLD" lady. He is quite proud of himself with his new knees. He makes a trip up and down the stairs routinely to increase his speed and agility. He couldn't wait to see Danny England recently, our favorite Physicians Assistant, to tell him how well those knees are working, soon after his best time on the stairs. Well ---- that wasn't enough for Lee. He asked me to go in Home Depot with him to buy him some plant dirt. He took off walking and I was running to keep up, until I remembered Dr. Pierson said I couldn't run with my new knees. Well Lee can now walk faster than I can and he is quite proud.
We went to the county fair. I had to make contact with one of the Harris teachers to order a shirt for the first day of school. Lee decided he would walk around. I was ready to go about 30 minutes later but where was Lee??? He finally answered his phone and said he was looking at tractors. Well, I was almost ready to give up on him when he finally appeared. Guess those knees are working again. Lee is walking and standing and doing a lot of things he hasn't done for many years. Thank the Lord for technology and Physicians that are able to prov
ide new knees for a almost 75 year old man.
Well I better get busy and work on this office and the files. It is a mess as you can see. I'll try to stay more up to date with my blog during this next year. Friends, I'll talk to you later, bft
